Hearing Assist Dogs are often selected from local shelters. The dog alerts a person who is deaf or hard of hearing to sounds by making physical contact with them and then leading them to that sound.
- a door knock or doorbell
- an oven timer
- a smoke detector
- an alarm clock
- an individual’s name being called
- a phone ringing
- the sound of an intruder
- a baby crying
Due to the generosity of supporters like you, all of our assistance dogs are provided to clients free of charge.
